Pittsburgh Apostolic Assembly was established in 2005 by Pastor Nicholas and Sis. Janell Blizzard. They have a burden for lost souls here in the Pittsburgh Metro.
Pastor Nick and Sis. Janell held church in their home the first year while they built up the funds to rent a place to hold church services. On February 5, 2006, they were able to have the first service outside of their home and it was at the Wyndham Garden Hotel on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. In the summer of 2010, the Lord made it apparent the church should move to Monroeville. We are now meeting for church service there. Monroeville is located just 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.
Pastor Nick was called into the ministry at a very young age and Sis. Janell knew from the time that she was very young that she was going to marry a minister.
Pastor Nick and Sis. Janell married in August 2003 and lived in Winter Park, Florida, because that is where the Lord needed them to be for a season of time. Then in the summer and early fall of 2004, their area of Florida was hit with three hurricanes. After the third hurricane, they sought the Lord on whether they were to leave Florida or if they were to stay there. The Lord showed them Pittsburgh was where they were needed and He told them exactly where - the area of the University of Pittsburgh.
Upon getting confirmation of the Lord's call through their pastor and through Pastor Nick's brother-in-law, they put their home up for sale and said their goodbyes. They arrived here in Pittsburgh on Valentine's Day, 2005. |
